Creatures of Wobarth
Wobarth is a world full of life, although not all of it is pleased to see you. Across its fiery hills, deep forests, high cliffs, strange coasts, and shadowed wild places, creatures of every shape and temperament make their homes. Some are loyal companions. Some are useful livestock. Some are noble, rare, and beautiful. Others appear to have been designed by nature during a particularly bad mood.
From the beloved but deeply excitable Nooks to the more alarming beasts best viewed from a safe distance, the creatures of Wobarth help shape the world as much as its people do. They are hunted, feared, ridden, respected, misunderstood, occasionally cuddled, and very often blamed for things that may or may not have been their fault.
Here you will find the beasts, birds, monsters, mounts, oddities, and unsettling little miracles that roam Wobarth — a living world where even the wildlife seems to have a personality, an opinion, and in several cases far too many teeth.

NOOK
The Nook is a small, round, flightless bird with the general shape of a badly thrown cushion and the confidence of something that has never fully understood danger. Fast, curious, and almost impressively loud when startled, Nooks are one of Wobarth’s most distinctive domestic creatures.
They are kept for their remarkable orange eggs, their useful farmyard habits, and their ability to turn even the calmest morning into a scene of flapping panic and wounded dignity. A startled Nook does not simply make a noise. It makes a declaration. Usually at a volume that causes nearby people to reconsider their life choices.
Despite their dramatic nature, Nooks are strangely lovable. They are nosy, quick-footed, and prone to getting involved in matters that do not concern them, especially if those matters include food, loose string, unattended clothing, or Bash Bighorn’s trousers.
In Wobarth, the Nook is both useful livestock and tiny feathered chaos. A creature loved by farmers, adored by Bash, and treated with deep suspicion by anyone trying to have a quiet day.
Cain
The Cain is one of Wobarth’s more unsettling predators, a powerful wolf-like beast roughly the size of a Great Dane, though considerably less interested in being anyone’s loyal companion. Broad-shouldered, muscular, and fast across rough ground, it has a thick brown coat marked with black stripes running from the neck to the mid-chest, giving it a striking and dangerous appearance.
Its most distinctive feature is its heavy armoured tail, which ends in a natural club strong enough to break bone, smash shields, and make even confident hunters suddenly remember urgent appointments elsewhere. A Cain does not merely bite, claw, or chase. It brings options.
Cain are often found near forest edges, rocky valleys, and wild grasslands, usually in small groups of three or four. They are clever enough to hunt together, patient enough to wait for an opening, and bold enough to test anything they think might be food, threat, or foolish.
In Wobarth, the Cain is respected, feared, and avoided by anyone with a working sense of self-preservation. It is not the largest beast in the world, nor the strangest, but it has perfected the art of making travellers walk faster without quite knowing why.
